El juego es impresionante. Una pregunta, ¿cómo haces para crear sprites personalizados en RPG Paper Maker? ¡A mí me parece extraordinariamente difícil!

¡Hola!

I noticed one bug, though it's not related to Linux I'm sure:

Entering this house:

And then leaving the door below here:

Puts me here, right next to the gate:

Also, I noticed there are many Horned Snails and quite a lot of Peepers, but very few Chestnuts in the first area. The HS and Peeper are immune to Jordi's attacks at Lv. 1 and only the Chestnuts are fightable but there are very few of them. It does seem I can Escape any fight, but it took me many escape attempts to defeat 5 Chestnuts and level up. After that the first three enemies and the Squirrels are easy.

Also, I like the Dragon Quest way of finding a chest in the castle's town 😉

I've also noticed if I turn the camera (with Left or Right) right before a battle starts, the camera turns a few degrees and then ANOTHER 90° after the fight, turning it slightly more than 90°. I think this is related to the RPM engine though.

Also, since I'm able to walk on <=45° slopes, I could walk around the Magic Stones Lake; not a bug per se just funny:

I do want to say, I absolutely love the map designs and atmosphere of the game!

It feels so vibrant and full of life, I am thoroughly enjoying that and I don't think I'll ever make an RPM game this full of style and with maps this lovely!

I don't know how to fix the camera thing in battle, but I did fix the incorrect teleport in the city and made the main character a little bit stronger for the early game so that he doesn't depend just on Chestnuts to level up. The one about the lake is, indeed, not a bug, it's just funny.

I'm really glad that you like the game's aesthetics! This is a very simple game and, being more a game artist than a developer, it makes me happy to see my players like my designs. I hope you enjoy the rest of your playthrough.

No problemo! I think I'm your polar opposite when it comes to making games; I love designing mechanics, systems design, and balancing and tweaking those systems and mechanics; but if I were to open up Aseprite that'd be tortute... For Aseprite as well!

I've played past the bridge outpost and defeated a mini-boss there, I noticed there was also a building with a moon-and-star sign, which was an Inn that offered full healing for cheap.

Two things:

1. I couldn't enter the one in the castle capital

2. If I refuse the Innkeep's offer, their face sprite turns into a woman's

3. Little sidenotes:

3.a. Defender and Protective Necklace have Spanish(?) item descriptions in the English version. It's not a big issue as the effect description tells me everything I need to know.

3.b. Is this sign supposed to do anything or is it just decoration? I don't think I can interact with it..?

Sorry if I'm being too much, I could be less verbose with my "reports" 😅

Don't worry, your problem entering the inn has helped me find a bigger problem with the game doors. I just fixed it now.

Hi, would you like to export a Linux build for the game as well?

When you export a standalone, you can also select Linux from the OS-dropdown. That should Just Work™

I didn't export a Linux version because I have no means to test it (nor to fix whatever problems that may occur in it), so I didn't want to risk it.

I understand what you mean, but there will be a lower chance of bugs if I run the game natively rather than through a compatability layer like Proton.

I don't mind trying if it works well for you, if that helps?

That's very kind of you. Okay, won't hurt to try. I just uploaded another version of the game for Linux.

Great, thanks! I'll check it out!

Why do I deal 0 dmg?

It happens when the difference between the enemy's defense and your weapon attacks is too great. Some enemies are exceptionally tanky, so it's better to level up a bit and/or get new weapons before fighting them.

Great game! Probably one of the best I've played created with RPG Paper Maker. I also own this program and am planning to create something substantial with it. Anyway, I really enjoyed the game. A classic RPG with map battles, grinding, leveling up, acquiring gear, and searching for chests. However, I have two questions:

  1. After defeating the anvil and obtaining the Dragonslayer, I noticed that the monsters on the map stopped attacking me. I could run everywhere, and nothing attacked me. Is this a bug, a consequence of getting the sword, or because I reached level 20?
  2. I reached the dragon and defeated it, but after defeating it, the game showed an error 'Can't find object with ID57 in map undefined. Please check where this ID is used and remove it.' Anyway, I guess this was the end of the adventure and there was some sort of conclusion. Regardless, I'm reporting the above error.

Oh, and once again - great game!

So glad you enjoyed the game! However, those two things are bugs that I'll fix right away, thank you for telling me!
