found a bug where the game crashes when you fight agent 1 in officer julie's story mode route, can you please fix this issue?
I can't seem to find the cause of the issue, as it has the same settings as the other fights. Did the game show you any message error or did is simply crash?
The game is just stuck in a loading state during the beginning of the fight, and remains as such even if you wait for a few minutes
I'm sorry that happened to you. Does this issue appear after the cutscene when the battle actually starts or does the cutscene simply get stuck before getting to the actual fight?
The issue occurs when the battle actually starts, right after the cutscene with Agent 1.
Okay, I believe I managed to reproduce the bug. Give me some time and I'll try to fix it when I can. Thank you for letting me know and again apologies for the inconvenience.
I really like this game. Do you know of a safe place to download this engine? all the websites that I can find with this engine have viruses.
Glad you like it. I got the engine from DIY Games' youtube tutorials. However, that was like two years ago, so i don't know the current state of the page with the download link. Sorry I couldn't be of help.
HELP HOW TF DO I OPEN THIS
After unzipping the whole game, unzip either Disc 1 or Disc 2 (only difference are the character story modes). You should be able to open the game by clicking on the "Fightcrawlers" executable.
Tried your game. Graphics are good. Keep it up. 2DFM2nd is an old engine but it is the easiest way to make fighting games. Take your time to develop your game until it's done.
Thanks! I chose 2DFM2nd precisely because of that. My coding skills are very low, I am more of a game artist but I wanted to make a fighting game to practice animation. I'm currently working on the arcade modes for the other characters and I'll add them to the game once they're all done.
I also made my 2DFM2nd project too. Characters are prerendered 3d sprites. Thankfully I completed the roster of 10 characters with just basic moves for now.
Looks good!
Don't be too hard on yourself, I had a quick look to your game and it looks decent, with nice but simple animations and works fine. The only thing I would say is that with only a simple punch and a kick as the two only attacks, fights can become a bit slow. I'm no expert on this but I think the fun in this genre is to see the characters' different movesets (which usually take more than two buttons). You could try to give each plushy their own special moves, even if they only have two each, something wacky to catch the players' attention. But either way, I think you did a good job for this to be your first fighting game.
Hello Lgarabato!
You have made a beautiful fighting game.
What the game was developed on: Unity, GameMaker Studio 2, Construct 3, or on some other engine?
P.S. Now I am also developing a fighting game, but on Construct 3.
Thank you for the kind words! This game has been made with a very old software called 2d Fighter Maker 2nd. My coding skills are almost non-existent and this was the easiest option for me to use.
